Death of My Darkness

Anyone who has ever battled depression, addiction, and been in a toxic relationship has been told a million times that in order to move forward, they have to change the environment and people in their lives. I stopped talking to people I had my entire life because I couldn’t disassociate them and the darkness. I hated the darkness they brought to my life. I purged everything dark and negative out of my life, one piece at a time. Not only to save my own life, but to be the mom my daughter deserved and the darkness had robbed from her. Living through construction

When we started the house we knew it wasn’t going to change overnight, we knew it would take time, money, and effort. WE hit multiple stalemates and multiple times had to change paths and handle the situations at hand. My husband, my daughter, and my terminally ill father all shared one bedroom/living area upstairs while we attempted to get the downstairs gutted and start rebuilding to make it liveable. Demolition day

When we bought the house, we couldn’t wait to get started. We only had a month to get as much remodel done as possible, pack our old house, find space in new house to actually live in, and to not break down.
